Episode 82 - Robby Royce

The "Pissed Off Pitbull" Robby Royce is here, and he has a whole lot to say!

 

A veteran of 30+ years, Robby stops by for the first ever Grainmaker Wrestling Podcast in person interview. He shares stories from when he first started off, what the wrestling scene was like in the early 90's, and talks about a lot of the who's who of Winnipeg wrestlers.

 

We cover his time in the promotions he was a part of, talks about some of his most memorable matches including his epic encounter with Steve Corino!

 

Robby also talks to us about his debut with 3D Pro Wrestling, and how the first ever Winnipeg Bull Rope match came to be!

Episode 81 - Miles Deville

Joining me this week, one half of one of the hottest teams on the tag scene with State of Emergency, Miles Deville!

 

With a mixture of speed, quickness, high flying and size, Miles is the complete package.

 

Miles and I cover all the bases, from the very beginning, to his recent foray with Defy Wrestling a few weeks ago. We also talk about how State of Emergency was formed, training and wrestling down in Mexico, and what it was like being a part of a 14 man tag match!

Episode 80 - WWE Raw 7.5.04 from Winnipeg

WWE made their return to televised events in Manitoba with WWE Raw on July 5, 2004. Yours truly was there live for the event, and while I was on my way to checking out from wrestling it was still a blast(at the time).

 

I figured that I would go back, re-watch and take a look at the two hour spectacle that is Monday Night Raw live from Winnipeg Arena. I remembered very little originally, but it did have the Musical Chairs segment!! So join me as I suffer and re-watch the episode, or cue it up and watch along as I ramble about it!

Episode 79 - Maddison Miles

This week on the Grainmaker Wrestling Podcast, Maddison Miles!!

 

Maddison grew up, fell in love and trained in wrestling out east, but she quickly took Canada by storm. Hitting every province, wrestling on the Northern Death tours, multiple CWE tours. She eventually made her way out to England and now wrestles out of there!

 

We go over all of that stuff, and we talk about Maddison receiving the Cauliflower Alley Club Rising Star award. So tune in to hear about all of that, and so much more!

We talk the early years of Mikes career, including a start in backyard wrestling! A veteran of 20 years, ATM stops by and shares stories from his start in wrestling, his friendship with Robbie Royce, some high profile matches that he's been a part of, facing off with Kyle Pro at 3D Pro Wrestling and so much more!

Episode 76 - Kick in the Forbidden Door(Wavin the Four-Four)

A few months ago the wrestling world was turned upside down with the announcement of the AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door PPV.

 

It seemed like the card was starting to take shape last week, but with an injury to CM Punk things changed. There are so many options, and possibilites for this incredible PPV that I needed some help to take a look and fantasy book this. So I reached out to former guest of the show and NEW commentator Justin Morrissette to take a look at some of the potential matches,

 

Both Justin and I came up with 10 match cards with what we think could possibly be the card, and have some fun with it along the way!! Some people get left off, some are in potential match of the year candidates, and I actually booked Toru Yano!

Episode 75 - Marz the Specialist

One of the top wrestlers out in Alberta, Marz the Specialist joins me this week on the Grainmaker Wrestling Podcast.

 

Marz has already taken Alberta by storm, with not even a full year under his belt, he has quickly become one of the must see names on the Canadian wrestling scene. We talk about his foray into wrestling, the effort and dedication needed in wrestling, facing off and feuding with Jack Pride and Heavy Metal and so much more!

 

We also talk about Marz debut match here in Winnipeg, June 10th for WPW where he will be teaming with Nasty Nate Nixon against Red Hot Summer!!

Episode 74 - Stefan Epic

After making his return to the ring last month for Timebomb Pro, Stefan Epic joins me this week!

 

Stefan will be facing off with Robby Royce at 3D Pro Wrestling in a Winnipeg Bullrope match. A match 21 years in the making!! Hear all about how this match all came to be!
